On Wednesday, October 14 2026, from 17:00 to 19:00 Menucha Latumaerissa will be giving a guest lecture alongside Laurens de Rooy from Museum Vrolik to bachelor’s students at Leiden University, as part of Gerlov van Engelenhoven’s lecture series ‘Memory and Decolonization’.
Representing the Budaya Kita Foundation, he will discuss the provenance research and the repatriation of ancestral remains. They will engage in a dialogue with the students about ‘tribal art’, material heritage, and the care of human remains in museums.
