RM* wants to enable heritage lovers to inform themselves about developments in the field of colonial collections and their return.

RM* aims to reduce the knowledge gap between the global south and the global north.

RM* is meant for heritage enthusiasts and professionals around the world. 

RM* reaches well over 3,300 people world-wide.

RM* has a website and distributes content via LinkedIn, Facebook, X and a Newsletter.

Who are running RM*?

RM* has an editorial team of two, Jos van Beurden and Arjanti Sosrohadikoesoemo, and has a world-wide network of sympathisers who submit news items. 

RM*’s editors are responsible for the content and review outside submissions for their relevance.

RM*'s editorial policy

RM* recognises the importance of news about issues like colonial slavery, dealings with Nazi-confiscated art works or the on-going illicit trade in art and antiquities, but distributes news about these issues only if it is relevant for colonial collections and restitution issues.

Dr Jos van Beurden

Jos van Beurden is a recognised expert in the field of colonial collections and restitution issues. Since the early 1990s, he has studied the issue during visits to numerous countries in Africa, Asia and Europe.

Arjanti Sosrohadikoesoemo

Arjanti Sosrohadikoesoemo joined RM* in 2021 to expand the news service through social media. She is a museum collection manager with a broad experience in the museum sector and has a passion for culture and history.
