Author Edouard Nzoyihera analyses the situation of museums in Uagnda, Rwanda, Burundi, and Kenya.
He proposes ways in which current museum systems could evolve, including a new type of museum: the ‘Cultural Eco-Grenier’.
It is made up of three major interrelated components: a community museum component, a micro-credit fund component that provides the population with the means in terms of money to develop income-generating activities, and a socio-cultural training centre component that focuses on socio-cultural development.
