(Re)Making Collections – Origins, Trajectories & Reconnections

Sarah Van Beurden, Didier Gondola & Agnès Lacaille (eds.):

Although there are already several studies on the history of the institution, this book offers new interpretation frameworks in the light of current debates.

Built around two central themes – the heritage chapter in the historical and contemporary Belgian and Congolese context and the more specific case of the collections of the Tervuren Museum – this collective publication provides a broad overview in the form of recent and unpublished research, interviews and artistic contributions, in French or English.

The book also explores new trends and shows the challenges museums face today.
