After six years of research and three years of repatriation work spanning three continents, we reached an extraordinary milestone: all documented human remains from our island identified through this work have returned home (with the exception of samples from the Golden Rock archaeological site on St. Eustatius [GR21] currently in the Netherlands). But reburial postponed.
