Reclaiming African heritage in geopolitical and technological realities – Conference, Cairo

The four-days conference 'Restitution Beyond Return: Reclaiming African Heritage in Today's Geopolitical and Technological Realities' brings together legal practitioners, policymakers, cultural institutions, artists, technologists, researchers and civil society to examine how restitution is evolving in response to changing geopolitical realities, international human rights law, and emerging technologies.

Through an Opening Forum, Cocktail Reception, and an Exhibition, participants will engage with new ideas, practical approaches, and interdisciplinary collaborations that are shaping the future of African heritage restitution.

This is just the beginning.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more details about each component of the programme, including the Opening Forum, featured speakers and contributors, and the Exhibition.
