The discussions will focus on three key areas:
- the role of Indigenous Peoples in return and restitution processe
- provenance research
- new forms of international cooperation, illustrated through concrete restitution cases from around the world
The Dialogue will open with Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider, UNESCO ADG for Culture Nayef H. Al-fayez and Yves Fischer (FOC), followed by keynotes from Simonetta Sommaruga, President of the Commission for Historically Problematic Cultural Heritage, and Olugbile Holloway, Director-General of Nigeria’s National Commission for Museums and Monuments.
